GOAL: 25,000 TREES FOR THE 10E EDITION OF A TREE FOR MY NEIGHBORHOOD
Trees starting at $25 for residents of the island of Montreal
A Tree for My Neighborhood has returned until May 30th. To celebrate the campaign’s 10th anniversary, its co-organizers – the Regroupement des éco-quartiers and Soverdi – are challenging themselves to plant the initiative’s 25,000th tree! New species and several contests will be organized to thank citizens for their involvement.
In collaboration with the cities of Montreal, Dorval, Pincourt, Côte-Saint-Luc and Kirkland, the REQ and Soverdi invite residents of the island of Montreal to take concrete action in the fight against heat islands by planting a tree on their land. Thanks to this collective effort, 21,000 trees have already been planted between 2013 and 2021.
It’s quick and easy to participate: simply shop for your tree(s) on atreeformyneighbourhood.org – prices start at $25 for regular trees and $35 for fruit trees – and then pick them up with us in mid-June.
