Do you have a desire to volunteer your time and energy to make a difference in your community? Do you have skills and want to share them with the community?
We offer volunteer and internship opportunities to individuals, groups and businesses. Available volunteer activities vary in length (a few hours, half a day, full day) but the results are lasting and rewarding!
Some of our volunteer opportunities include:
- informational kiosks
- door-to-door activities
- helping to manage eco-friendly events
- neighbourhood clean-up activities
- maintenance of community composting sites
- farm or gardening work
- tree planting
The SOCENV is also now accredited PREB (Program for the recognition of volunteer experiences). This means that we can give you a certificate that certifies that your volunteer work is equivalent to work experience. This type of certificate can strengthen your resume during a job search.
